BRASS
JAW
The critically acclaimed saxophone quartet Brass Jaw, already well
known for challenging the boundaries of “chamber jazz”
have now extended them still further.
The inclusion of the ace trumpeter Ryan Quigley creates a new ensemble
that is truly unique in sound and direction.
Brass Jaw bristles with the excitement of a completely original
set
including the odd quirky arrangement of well loved jazz standards,
all
written and arranged by this stellar line up of Scottish Jazz musicians.
Following
their hugely successful national tour of the United Kingdom
in 2005, which also saw them perform
live on BBC Radio Scotland,
Brass Jaw have seen a rapid rise in popularity, culminating in the
release of their début album “BURN”. 2006
saw them perform at the Clusone Jazz Festival (Italy), Glasgow International
Jazz Festival, Islay Jazz Festival and a second appearance at the
award winning Wakefield Jazz Club.
In 2007 Brass Jaw completed their second
national UK tour,
